Wooden Structures

Meo Landscapes has a passion for working with wood and deep respect for the remarkable heritage of oak. Ancient traditions embodied both skill and beauty, and we take pride in following this tradition with our Garden Structures and Buildings.

Where possible we use Oak as favoured choice and using traditional skills we have created a wide range of oak structures varying greatly in style and scale, these include: Pergolas, Gazebos, Seating, Porches, Shelters and many other timber framed garden structures. All projects are bespoke and can be made to individual requirements by our craftsmen.

Oak Garden Structures can be a unique feature of a landscaping project or a beautiful addition to an existing garden.

 We take great pride in the structures we produce attending to fine detailing down to all joints being cut correctly and perfectly fitted.

Raised Beds

We have now completed several projects using Hardwood Oak sleepers to form raised beds for planting or vegetable gardens, far more attractive than the dirty hard rugged reclaimed railway sleepers our hardwood sleepers fit together well and fit well with surrounding environments. We have also found that Oak sleepers are as competitive as hardwood and cheaper to install.

Oak sleeper raised beds have always formed the basis for vegetable gardens, but we have also incorporated wooden fruit cages, compost bins and cloches.

Oak sleepers have also been widely used by us to retain steep banks or rebuild gradients, bridges, pond and lake edges, children’s play areas or even folly sculptures.
